The Museum is located at the historic RAF airfield at Manston in Kent (now known as Kent International Airport). The building contains two halls housing the Spitfire MK XVI (LF) and Hurricane IIC, complemented by a vast array of other artefacts.
There's ample free parking for both cars and coaches. We sell a range of souvenirs, model kits and books in our shop, open during the same hours as the Museum. The Merlin café, adjoining the Museum, with views across the airfield.
How To Find Us
We are located at Manston Airport, near Ramsgate.
Look Out For...
Our Spitfire has four crosses painted on the side, denoting four German aircraft shot down in combat. What is unusual is these four combat 'kills' were by four different pilots. Denoted the 'scratch' (Z) aircraft of the squadron, this Spitfire was used as the spare for any pilot needing an aircraft.
